Inside Our Slum House | Low-Income Couple's Reality in Vietnam | Baby Coming in 2 Months Hello, I'm Xiem — and this is my husband, Nhat. We are both 25 years old, living and working out of a tiny salon in Vietnam. In just two more months, our baby boy will arrive — and this small shop is the only home we have right now. This is where we eat, sleep, work, and prepare for our little one. It is old, cramped, and far from perfect — but it is ours, and we are grateful for it every single day. My husband recently lost his office job after the AI wave replaced many desk positions like his. Since then, our only income has come from this salon — somewhere between five and ten dollars a day. It is not much, but we keep going. I'm not sharing this to ask for pity. I simply want to show our real life — the honest, unfiltered reality of a young couple building something from nothing, with a baby on the way. Every video I make is a small step forward. My hope is that by sharing our story, we can inspire others who are also struggling — and maybe one day, give our son a safer and more comfortable life than the one we have right now.
