I Was Abandoned by My Rich Birth Family, But Raised by a Poor One 🇨🇳
I was sent away when I was still a baby. My birth family was once one of the richest families in the next village. But the family that raised me was poor. So poor that once, before my mother could cook lunch, she had to borrow a cup of rice from a neighbor. But that poor family gave me something my rich birth family never gave me. They gave me a home. In this video, I visit my oldest brother’s furniture workshop and his new home that is still being renovated. My brother is ten years older than me. When my parents went to work in the fields, he was often the one taking care of me. Now, many years later, I am watching him build a home for his own family. My father is also helping with the renovation to save money. My sister-in-law shows us the kitchen she designed. And later, I visit the village where my birth family lives and take a short walk with my biological sister and grandfather. This is a very personal story about family, childhood, poverty, responsibility, and what “home” really means to me. Maybe home is not only where life begins. Maybe home is where someone chooses to keep you, protect you, and give you everything they can.
