Birding Great Lakes, USA 2 is the second video of our three video series featuring birds, creatures, and other sights and sites during trips to the Great Lakes and surrounding areas in 2014 and 2025. TITLE BIRD and also the COVER BIRD is the Kirtland's Warbler . Photographed at the Au Sable River area in Michigan May 2025. Word of mouth is what got us to this particular area. The Kirtland's Warbler was our primary target bird for this trip. MOST PHOTOGENIC in order of appearance: 1. Evening Grosbeak (00:31) photographed at Hartwick Pines State Park, Michigan. Striking colors and that beak. Easy to identify, very photogenic! 2. Green Heron (03:28) photographed at Magee Marsh, Ohio. Stunning coloration and patterned feathers. Beautiful! 3. Indigo Bunting (06:42) at Shiawassee National Wildlife Refuge. This handsome "guy" was one of the first birds we photographed in Michigan! 4. Northern Parula- favorite three birds beginning at (14:50). Photographed at Culhane Lake, Michigan. A tiny wonder; perky and definitely as interested in us as we were in it! 5. Pine Warbler (18:11) photographed at McGulpin Point Lighthouse, Michigan. The light was right. This bird was brightly singing. It was a beautiful morning! Take the photo! (We did!)
