Birding Great Lakes, USA 1-WARBLERS, WOODCOCK, TERNS, BLACK-BELLIED PLOVERS, DUNLINS, AND MORE!

Birding Great Lakes, USA 1 is the first of our three videos featuring birds, other creatures, and other sights and sites during trips to the Great Lakes and surrounding areas from trips in 2014 and 2025. TITLE BIRD is the male Chestnut-sided Warbler. Photographed at Magee Marsh, Ohio in May 2014. This was our first and only trip (so far) to the birding Mecca of Magee Marsh. We were astounded at the birds found in the boardwalk area as well as nearby. This little guy is the picture perfect example of a male Chestnut-sided Warbler. We're so glad we encountered him. COVER BIRD is the American Woodcock. Camoflauging itself very successfully, we walked right by it. A helpful birder quietly clued us in to where it was skulking.Beginning at (01:10) it was playing peek-a-boo with us near the Magee Marsh boardwalk. Then at (01:48) we got this stunning shot of it. MOST PHOTOGENIC in order of appearance: 1. Baltimore Oriole (02:29) This male was photographed at Marblehead Lighthouse State Park in Ohio. The color of his plumage just jumps right out and says, "Look at me ladies!" 2. Black-and-white Warbler (04:26) His feathers groomed, he's all dressed up and eady for Spring. Photographed in Mackinaw City, Michigan. 3. Black-throated Green Warbler (07:19) This lovely lady was posing pretty at Ohio's Magee Marsh. She was beautiful from all sides, but this was our favorite shot. 4. Canada Warbler (12:25). While driving in Michigan we pulled off the highway into the Cedar Lake parking lot. Our timing was impeccable! So was this gorgeous Canada Warbler! 5. Eastern Phoebe (21:15). One of the least camera-shy bird species we've photographed, this particular Eastern Phoebe at Magee Marsh was also very cooperative and photogenic. SERIES -Just can't get enough of these birds!
