Birding New Jersey, USA 2—WHITE IBIS, WARBLERS, CORMORANTS, GULLS, SANDPIPERS, WADERS, DUCKS & MORE

—Birding New Jersey, USA 2 is the second video of our three video series of our trip to New Jersey, USA during September and October 2022. "TITLE PHOTO" and "COVER BIRD" (12:34) are the Ruddy Turnstone. The light was perfect at Stone Harbor Beach and these birds were very cooperative! MOST PHOTOGENIC awards in this video in order of appearance: 1. —Mute Swan in flight (04:13) Do you remember the "Ugly Duckling" story? No trace of that in this graceful beauty! Photographed at Cape May. 2. —Eastern Wood-Pewee (06:07) The pose of this diminutive bird with the muted background colors is sharply contrasted with the detail of the branch and feathers. Picture perfect in our book. Photographed at East Point Lighthouse. 3.—Song Sparrow (Eastern)(07:23) is not a flamboyant bird, nor is it rare. This bird seems to be saying, "Don't call me drab! Beauty is in the eye of the beholder." We consider this particular bird very photogenic! Discovered at the Edwin B. Forsythe NWR. 4.—Brown Thrasher (15:44). When we were going through the photographs for this video, this one was a definite standout! Photographed in the vicinity of Cape May. 5.—Female Black-and-white Warbler (17:25) was sitting pretty on this branch in Cape May. Couldn't resist taking the shot or including her in our top 5 Photogenic SERIES—(6 or more photos of the same bird) — Sanderlings and Semipalmated Sandpipers (02:29) — Northern Cardinal (07:51) — Ruddy Turnstone (12:34) — White Ibis (13:46) — Northern Parula (16:17) RAPTORS— Northern Harrier (15:52) and American Kestrel (17:17) LAST BUT NOT LEAST BIRD—Blue-gray Gnatcatcher (17:59) is delicate-looking and also striking with its bold white eye-ring.
