A Story About Hiking 110K on the Cordillera Huayhuash | Peru

Welcome to a story about the 8 day trek in Cordillera Huayhuash, considered by many to be the most beautiful trek in the world. This hike was completed almost exclusively in Bedrock Hiking Sandals. Setting out from the mountain town of Huaraz, the 8 day trek covers 110 kilometers, traverses 8 mountain passes, with sustained elevations between 13,000-16,800 ft of altitude. The trekking is hard, but the days are priceless. The journey for these 8 days takes us through stunning valleys, over high altitude mountain passes, into turquoise lakes, remote Peruvian villages, and presents us with countless views that take our breath away. The most iconic is the Siula Grande, featured in “Touching the Void”. There are no words to describe the beauty of the landscape. And despite being a world famous trek, there is not too much development around the few tourists who do make this trek every week.
