Episode 32 | #cusco #peru | July 2025 Hiking the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu has been at the top of our bucket list for years. After 4 days of trekking through the Andes Mountains, we can finally say that it completely lived up to the hype. In this video, we’re taking you along for the full journey on the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, from the early mornings and high mountain passes to the ancient Inca sites you don’t hear about nearly enough. Because while Machu Picchu is incredible, what surprised us most was everything we experienced along the way. From hiking to over 13,000 ft at Dead Woman’s Pass to exploring incredible Inca sites that honestly rivaled Machu Picchu itself, this trek is so much more than just the destination. If you’re wondering what it’s really like to hike the Inca Trail (the difficulty, the altitude, the experience, and whether it’s worth it) this video will give you a full, honest look. Our Inca Trail Experience: We completed the 4-day, 3-night Classic Inca Trail with Salkantay Trekking, a locally owned Peruvian company known for their small group sizes and the way they care for their porters. We had an incredible experience with our guide Cesar and our team. We highly recommend them if you’re planning this trek.
