Best time to do this trek: Our trip was from 8.26 to 9.1 The Huayhuash is best hiked from May to September, but it's possible to hike just outside this range. Think more of wet vs dry season, instead of summer vs winter. Getting to Huaraz: Most people fly into Lima and take a 6.5 hour bus to Huaraz.
