Harran ruins is a major ancient city in Upper Mesopotamia whose site is in the modern village of Harran. It is famous for its traditional "beehive" adobe houses, constructed entirely without wood. I hitich hiked to Akcakala, an ethnic Arab town in Şanlıurfa Province. Akçakale forms a divided city with Tell Abyad which already lies in Syria.
