We rented a car in Erbil and drove all the way to Dohuk, passing by the incredible villages of Lalish and Alqosh. Two villages known for their rich Yazidi and Assyrian Christian cultures. Both groups were persecuted for a long time especially during the IS regime in central Iraq resulting in a big diaspora all over the world.
