Our final days in Sri Lanka took us through ancient temples, towering rock fortresses and village life as we travelled from Kandy to Sigiriya before finishing our adventures in Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 From the Sacred Temple of the Tooth to the summit of Sigiriya Lion Rock, this leg of the journey was packed with history, culture and unforgettable experiences. 🌟 Some Highlights from Our Sigiriya Adventure: ✅ Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic – One of the most important Buddhist sites in the world, located in the heart of Kandy. ✅ Dambulla Cave Temple – Climbing to the UNESCO World Heritage site filled with centuries-old cave temples, colourful murals and hundreds of impressive Buddha statues. ✅ Sigiriya Lion Rock – Tackling the famous climb to the summit of the ancient rock fortress, passing the Lion's Gate and reaching spectacular panoramic views across Sri Lanka's countryside. ✅ Village Tour Experience – Riding in a bull cart and and local boat before learning to prepare authentic Sri Lankan dishes and enjoying lunch the traditional way with our hands. Sigiriya and the Cultural Triangle provided the perfect ending to our Sri Lankan adventure, combining incredible history, breathtaking scenery and unforgettable local experiences.
