After a wild first day, Kandy completely redeemed itself today and left me absolutely speechless. The culture, the scenery, the food, and the vibes here are unlike anything I have ever experienced before. From a peaceful boat ride across a historic lake to scaling a mountain to see a giant Buddha statue overlooking the entire city, this day was a non-stop adventure. If you think Sri Lanka is just about beaches, this video will completely change your mind! 📍 What We Explored Today: Café Culture & Lake Cruise: I started my morning leaving Hotel 360 View to grab a premium cappuccino in the town center. Afterward, I headed to the iconic Kandy Lake for a private boat ride. Cruising through the waters while learning about the lake's history and the driver's life was a beautiful, grounding experience. An Incredible Food Redemption: After yesterday's food disaster, I visited a highly-rated luxury restaurant and ordered their recommended Mie Goreng. It was packed with flavor and easily one of the best meals I've had on this trip! The Giant Buddha Temple: I negotiated a fair price with a local Tuk-Tuk driver and headed up the hill to Bahirawakanda Vihara (The Big Buddha Temple). Standing beneath the massive white statue and looking down at the panoramic view of Kandy city in such a quiet, spiritual environment was surreal.
