The Holland Track Was Changing… And I Was Still Solo Ep 3 | REMOTE OFF GRID CAMPING

Episode 3 of my solo journey along the historic Holland Track in Western Australia. After leaving Mount Holland, I continue north as the track begins to change. Signs of previous rain start to appear, with water sitting on sections of the track and the surface becoming slick in places. Travelling solo, it’s a reminder that conditions on the Holland Track can change quickly. As the bush tightens, I pass the working lithium mine before pushing deeper toward Sandalwood Rock, a location rich in history from the early days of the track. I explore the area looking for signs of the sandalwood cutters and the role this region once played along Holland’s route to the goldfields. Continuing on, I’m surprised to find wildflowers still blooming so late in the season before reaching the Rabbit Proof Fence. From there I stop at Centenary Rock, exploring the memorial and checking the lock box left by previous travellers. With the day getting long, I search for camp, first stopping at Blaze Tree Campsite before pushing on to the historic Cat Camp for a well-earned rest after a long day travelling solo along one of Western Australia’s most iconic and remote tracks.
