In this video I’m hosting guests Turkish-style and preparing a homemade dinner with meze and rakı. I’ll show 6 different Turkish meze recipes, set the table for friends, and share the atmosphere of a few summer days in Istanbul — a trip to Şile by the Black Sea, a traditional Turkish breakfast, and the Andrea Bocelli concert in Istanbul. I mix everything with a spoon until smooth. Separately, I prepare a pesto-style sauce in a blender with pistachios, fresh basil, garlic and olive oil. I blend everything until creamy and mix it into the cheese base. I serve the meze topped with pistachios and fresh basil. Közlenmiş Patlıcan Mezesi recipe: For this meze I used fire-roasted eggplants and sweet peppers. I added fresh tomatoes, red onion, one clove of garlic and lots of parsley. I dressed everything with olive oil, lemon juice and pomegranate sauce, and seasoned it with sumac, salt and pepper. Enjoy watching ♡
