The Mystery of Malaysia's Empty 5-Star Hotel Peninsula

What happens when you keep riding past the Melaka Submarine Museum? You find an island full of ghost ships, a 5-star hotel with no people, and a legendary local treat! In today’s video, I’m taking my bike out toward Klebang Beach in Malacca, Malaysia, to explore some massive land reclamation projects. And I ponder the original plan for all this reclaimed land and wonder what happened. Along the way, I stumbled upon a mysterious island that turned out to be a massive salvage yard/graveyard for abandoned ships and barges. While the security gate stopped me from crossing the bridge, I managed to get up close along the shoreline to check out these incredible misfit vessels. To beat the intense Malaysian heat, I check out the vibe at Klebang Beach, grab some fresh sugar cane juice, and end the day at the famous Klebang Original Coconut Shake shack—where I got a bonus treat!
