I Spent 32 Hours in Cologne… I didn't expect this!

Join me for 32 hours in Cologne, Germany as I find out whether this famous German city is underrated… or slightly underwhelming. Flying from Manchester for a short overnight trip with no extra annual leave needed, I explore Cologne’s cathedral, old town, Rhine riverfront, beer halls, markets and food scene while giving my honest thoughts as an Australian living in Yorkshire, UK. In this video I visit Cologne Cathedral, walk through the Altstadt (Old Town), cross the Hohenzollern Love Lock Bridge, visit the Kranhäuser, Chocolate Museum, Farina Haus and the medieval Severinstorburg city gate, before stumbling across the Rheinauhafen Flohmarkt along the Rhine. Of course, no trip to Cologne would be complete without trying plenty of Kölsch beer, so I visit three traditional brauhauses — Früh am Dom, Gaffel am Dom and Peters Brauhaus, where I try Kölsch, Mettbrötchen, schnitzel, sausages and currywurst beside the Rhine. I also stay overnight at Motel One Köln-Altstadt and show what it’s like to visit Cologne on a quick and realistic short city break from the UK. This isn’t a challenge video or luxury travel guide. It's just an honest review of my experience exploring Cologne in a short amount of time.
