Video of the finished marble: • Vortex Marble Handmade by Bill Grout 2.22"... Gold fumed spots of clear and plunged cobalt invade the core while three bands of metallic sparkles press in three sides. More lines of gold fume add to the color effects. The base is layered with blue green pebbles on a black background. The back side is decorated with raked lines of sparkling blue, dark amethyst, and amber purple floating over the reflective silver fumed base. Colors used in this build: Dark Cobalt, Palladium foil, Blue Green frit, Unobtanium, Double Amber Purple, and Dark Amethyst. Learning and exploring new ideas for artistic handmade designs in glass is an ongoing journey. I hope you enjoy this video series showing the whole process. The hot glass heats up, glows orange, and is carefully manipulated to create a smooth, round form, highlighting the intricate skills involved in its making. It's truly amazing to see the creation of such a beautiful piece by hand by a skilled artist.
