It's the wild card; the beginning AND the ending, and everything in between. Is is no less than US, as we begin our journey through the path of Initiation -- the Fool's Journey - or The Hero's Journey, if you prefer -- through the Major Arcana of the Tarot. The Fool is our own essential nature. As Joseph Campbell said, "The gift of a lifetime is to be who you are." THAT is what the Fool puts us in touch with.
