Card 2: The High Priestess — Intuition

In the first few days of our "Hero's (or Fool's) Journey, we meet the powerful archetypal figures who will be our guides and allies on our Journey -- which is actually a journey of Initiation -- a Quest, of sorts -- and neither Quests nor Journeys of Initiation are meant to be easy! They are meant to challenge us! So we need our allies. Today, we meet The High Priestess -- who will be an important ally, that we will likely visit -- or refer back to our visit with her -- many times along the way. The High Priestess gives us access to our own inner wisdom and our intuition. At The High Priestess, we pull aside the veils -- of personality, of perceived "reality" and limitation, to access our Third Eye, Ajna Chakra, the seat of our own higher wisdom. Here, we receive important images, advice, and guidance (that we may or may not understand, initially) to help us on our way. The ability to revisit the High Priestess - to pull aside the veils of conscious thought and our ingrained conceptions and to access our internal wisdom - will be important many times on our Journey, so be sure to pay attention, to think about what you are shown, and to thank "Her" and to ask permission to visit again!
