Jamile Menezes tells through her story how art transformed her life and has allowed her to transform the lives of adults and children through her work. A beautiful story of overcoming challenges, rediscovery, and love for art. A graduate in Visual Arts from the Federal University of Recôncavo da Bahia (UFRB), she is a postgraduate student in Art Education at the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA), and an art educator in Elementary School I at the Montessori School in Cruz das Almas-BA, in the public and state education network of the Recôncavo region of Bahia. She is a photographer, designer, and video editor at Art & Foto in Valença-BA. She published a book entitled "As escolas de Joana" (Joana's Schools), which was adopted as a supplementary textbook and presented at events in cities in the Recôncavo and Baixo Sul regions of Bahia. She performs as the Zazá Doll, telling Afro-Brazilian and Indigenous stories with popular games. She is an actress and producer with Bocó Cia. de Humor in Cachoeira-BA.
