The Limits of Self care Reclaiming an Ethic of Self Care and Communal Care

This session will explore the popular idea of “self-care” as a response to burnout among healthcare workers - its benefits, limitations, and unintended consequences. Drawing on scripture and theological perspectives, we will critique the individualistic focus of self-care and explore communal care as a more faithful alternative. Participants will engage in discussion and imagine practices rooted in communal care in their own contexts. _______________________________ CCHF's Mission: The mission of Christian Community Health Fellowship is to encourage, engage, and equip Christians to live out the gospel through healthcare among the poor and marginalized.
