Furtos em restaurantes de luxo em São Paulo preocupam empresários

Luxury restaurants in São Paulo have been facing an increase in petty thefts committed by customers. Personalized and imported items, such as napkins, salt shakers, and silverware, have been stolen, causing significant losses. A restaurant owner in Itaim Bibi reported losses of approximately R$ 100,000 recently. Lisandro Lauretti, head chef of one establishment, observed constant disappearances of his exclusive pieces. He reported that customers are frequently caught putting items in their bags, which led him to remove certain objects from the table before serving dessert. Renata Vanzetto, responsible for 11 establishments, also shared experiences of theft, mentioning the loss of valuable silverware and expensive lamps. These thefts compromise the restaurants' finances. In addition to restaurants, hotels face similar problems, with guests taking towels.
