Ethiopia Broke ALL Of My Expectations! (#171)

Ethiopia, the pride of Africa. Home to an amazing and very distinct culture that everyone should experience at least once in their lives. And when you go to Ethiopia, top of the list on places to visit is Lalibela, the home of the rock churches. It's something that seems out of this world. Unfortunately, Ethiopia is also to almost constant conflict. Civil wars, border disputes, you name it. When I arrived in the country, a new battle had just broken out -- between the FANO militia, representing the Amharas, and the Ethiopian government. Even more unfortunately, most of the best tourist sites in Ethiopia are in the Amhara region. Including Lalibela. Welp, it was too late now.
