ADHD u kobiet – dlaczego świat nas nie zauważa?
In this episode, Magdalena Daniłoś talks with Joanna Niedziałek, a psychologist and psychotherapist in training, about why women's ADHD goes unnoticed for so long. Because we don't run around the classroom. We grit our teeth, organize five notebooks, and make sure no one knows we're falling apart inside. We do everything to look like we have it under control—and we do it so well that often the specialists themselves don't notice. Joanna explains why women with ADHD are diagnosed late—and what causes the masks to crack. Hormonal changes, pregnancy, menopause, the loss of a loved one—these are the moments when the house of cards collapses. And only then do many of us realize that we built it with cards while others had the blocks. We also talk about perfectionism, which doesn't mean we have everything in order—it just means we can't let anyone see the mess inside. About the shame that begins in childhood, when you hear "how many times do I have to tell you" far too often. About the difference between masking and self-regulation. And why resting by "lying down and staring at the ceiling" simply doesn't work for a woman with ADHD. 💬 In this episode, you'll hear, among other things: ✔ why women with ADHD are so difficult to diagnose and what distinguishes them from men, ✔ what is masking and self-regulation, ✔ how perfectionism protects us from judgment, ✔ how to start listening to your body when you've spent your whole life learning to ignore it. 👉 Listen if you've ever heard "but you don't look like you have ADHD."
