Speech therapy report: sensorimotor alalia, apraxia (OHP-1) Results after 12 months: OHP-3 in comprehension, OHP-2 in speech (correction ongoing) Before coming to us, Miron's mother worked with him independently according to our special education plan. Thanks to her work, his speech comprehension significantly improved and approached the OHP-2 level. However, some gaps in speech comprehension remained, and he did not speak independently. Therefore, the work was structured to first close these gaps and only then move on to the next stages. • Despite a fairly developed passive vocabulary, Miron, at almost 5 years old, only understood simple and familiar requests. New tasks and more complex instructions presented him with difficulties. • He had no speech at all: Miron didn't even utter individual words, only pronouncing isolated sounds. The situation was further complicated by severe articulatory apraxia—he couldn't purposefully pronounce combinations of sounds and syllables. • He also had difficulties in everyday life: he was very picky about his food and had not yet learned to dress himself. • At the beginning of classes, the development of higher mental functions was not appropriate for his age: Miron had difficulty maintaining attention, remembering new information, and understanding and completing tasks that required analysis and action planning. After 12 months, Miron reached the OHP-3 level in comprehension and the OHP-2 level in speaking: • His understanding of spoken language has improved significantly: Miron understands and follows more complex instructions, answering questions such as "Who is this?", "What is he doing?", "Where to?", "From where?", "Why?", and "What do you need...?" • Phrasal speech of 2-3 words has emerged. Grammatical development continues: Miron uses prepositions correctly, masters word agreement by gender, number, and case, and uses the present and past tenses. At the same time, work is underway to overcome severe apraxia, develop pronunciation, and improve speech clarity. • Miron's eating habits have improved, and he has developed independent dressing skills. • Higher mental functions are age-appropriate: Miron solves logical problems, understands object categories, memorizes and applies new knowledge, draws simple conclusions, maintains attention better, and engages longer in class.
