The Most Authentic Canada Day Celebration We've Found

Canada Day in St. Andrews by the Sea is everything we love about small town celebrations — music on the waterfront, a hometown parade, classic cars, local makers, and that slow, easy wander through streets filled with history. This is where Eric’s summers began growing up, and sharing it with you feels like coming home. We start the morning on Water Street with live music, then follow the parade up King Street past colorful vendors, historic churches, and landmarks like Sheriff Andrews House, the Ross Memorial Museum, and the Charlotte County Courthouse. Angel needed a little extra comfort today, so she spent the morning in her sling taking in the sights from a cozy spot. In the afternoon, we stopped at Char & Chowder for a dog friendly patio lunch (the chicken sandwich might have stolen the show!). Later, we explored more of St. Andrews’ history — the old gaol, the burial ground, and the beautiful, historic architecture that makes this town so special. As evening rolled in, Water Street reopened, entertainment continued in Market Square, and Paula headed out solo to capture the fireworks over Passamaquoddy Bay.
