The Cheapest Ferry Ride Gave Us the Best Views | Quebec City

Welcome to Part 2 of our 3-part Quebec City long weekend vlog! In this episode, we spend Easter Sunday exploring Old Quebec, taking the Québec City–Lévis ferry, enjoying foggy views of the St. Lawrence River, and finally visiting Notre-Dame de Québec Basilica-Cathedral. What started as a rainy, grey day turned into one of the most memorable and atmospheric parts of our trip. One of the biggest surprises of the day was the Lévis ferry — such an inexpensive way to get out on the water and see Quebec City from a completely different perspective. With the rain, floating ice, and the Château Frontenac wrapped in fog, the whole experience felt unexpectedly magical. After the ferry, we kept exploring Old Quebec, revisited the boardwalk near Château Frontenac, and finally made it inside the basilica we missed the day before — and it was absolutely worth the wait. If you’re planning a trip and looking for things to do in Quebec City, this was a great reminder that some of the simplest experiences can end up being the highlight of the weekend. Would you take the ferry in this kind of weather just for the views? And when you travel, do you prefer sunny sightseeing days or moody, rainy travel days like this one? Let me know in the comments — I’d genuinely love to hear your travel style.
