State of Housing in Ireland - EU Presidency edition by Housing Europe

With Ireland now at the helm of the Council of the European Union, Dublin is expected to use its six-month presidency to push the housing debate even higher up the EU’s political priorities. To mark the start of Ireland’s term, Housing Europe, in cooperation with the Irish EU Presidency, hosted “State of Housing in Ireland” webinar on 15 July. The online discussion brought together policymakers and housing leaders to examine Ireland’s priorities at EU level, assess the country’s own housing challenges and reforms, and explore how the European Union can better support the delivery of social and affordable housing. Featuring speakers from the Irish Permanent Representation to the EU, the Housing Agency and the Irish Council for Social Housing, the webinar offered an early look at the housing priorities likely to shape the Presidency and the wider European debate in the months ahead.
