Understanding the European Accessibility Act (EAA) and decoding its Accessibility Requirements

The workshop aims to help you understand the European Accessibility Act (EAA), which is a set of rules that will make things like websites, products and services easier for everyone to use, including people with disabilities. Companies that make products or offer services covered by the EAA have until 28 June 2025 to meet the rules. Many public bodies have a role in the implementation of the EAA in Ireland, and the National Disability Authority (NDA) is one of them. The NDA is responsible for advising the relevant market surveillance authority and compliance authorities on matters related to the accessibility requirements. The workshop was presented by the Centre for Excellence in Universal Design (CEUD) at the NDA and AccessibleEU alongside the Irish Computer Society and the Irish Accessibility Networking Group.
