Control measures aimed at identifying illegal migrants and preventing crimes involving foreign citizens in the Volgograd Region are ongoing. According to the news agency "Vysota 102," law enforcement officers visited the city of Volzhsky yesterday. Over the course of one day, law enforcement officers checked 68 people, of whom 18 foreign citizens were taken to the local police station for further investigation. Sixteen administrative offense reports were drawn up for various violations of immigration laws. Eight foreigners found to be illegally in Russia have been deported to their home countries. It should be noted that raids are being conducted not only at the migrants' places of residence but also at their places of work. Following the raid in Volzhsky, two entrepreneurs who hired illegal immigrants were held administratively liable. The violation, under Part 3 of Article 101 of the Criminal Code, is under investigation. Article 18.15 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation punishes legal entities with a fine of 400,000 to 800,000 rubles. Raids involving the FSB, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Russian National Guard will continue in the Volgograd Region in the near future. The main goal of such preventive measures is to prevent serious crimes in the region and promptly identify individuals prone to committing them.
