The sunflowers are finally in bloom, and summer has settled gently into the mountains. 🌻 In today’s video, I share a quiet summer day filled with simple moments baking mango cake for myself, harvesting fresh vegetables from the garden, trying a comforting Bhutanese recipe, spending time with my dogs, and sharing a few memories connected to my favorite flowers and old ceramic plates that have been in my family for decades. (Kewa Datshi Recipe) Ingredients 3 medium potatoes, peeled and sliced 2–3 jalapeños or green chilies, sliced 1 small onion, sliced (optional) Garlic cloves 3 cheese slices or mozzarella/processed cheese/ Datshi 1 cup water Oil or Butter Salt, to taste *Sichuan pepper/Timur Method 1. Add the sliced potatoes, chilies, garlic,onion, water, and salt to a pan. 2. Cover and cook over medium heat until the potatoes are almost tender (about 10–15 minutes). 3. Add the cheese and let it melt into the cooking liquid. 4. Stir gently until you have a creamy, slightly thick sauce coating the potatoes. 6. Serve hot with steamed rice.🤌 .
