Zatopić Tirpitza!

The battleship Tirpitz was the sister ship to the Bismarck, which sank in dramatic circumstances in May 1941, having previously sunk the Hood and been pursued by the main body of the Royal Navy. The shock of the Bismarck caused British Prime Minister Winston Churchill to become obsessed with the idea that another battleship of this type would also cause similar problems. Hence, from 1941 to 1944, he pressed admirals and generals to destroy the Tirpitz. There were many attempts, but the decisive action came in September 1944. By then, the fate of the great German ship had been sealed, though this did not yet mean its sinking.
