July 5th, 2026 | Oh For Grace | Bishop Franklyn Capron

When we hear the word grace, many of us immediately think of forgiveness—and rightly so. Grace is God's unmerited favor, freely given through Jesus Christ. But Titus reminds us that grace is far more than a gift that saves us from our past. Grace is a daily companion that walks with us into our future. It not only rescues us from sin, it transforms us into the people God has called us to be. The Apostle Paul tells us that "the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people." What incredible news! No one is beyond the reach of God's grace. His grace welcomes the broken, restores the weary, and gives hope to those who feel they have failed too many times. Wherever you are today, God's grace is still reaching out to you. But grace doesn't stop at salvation—it becomes our teacher. Titus says that grace teaches us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and "Yes" to lives marked by self-control, righteousness, and godliness. God's grace doesn't excuse sin; it empowers us to overcome it. Every day, His grace gives us the strength to make choices that honor Him, even when the world pulls us in the opposite direction. As you go through this week, don't rely on your own strength. Lean on the grace of God. The same grace that saved you is the grace that will sustain you, strengthen you, and shape you into the image of Christ. May our prayer each day be, "Oh for grace—to trust Him more, to live for Him more, and to become more like Him." Have a blessed and grace-filled week!
