Sanur, Bali. Monday, 8 June 2026. Good morning from Sanur, Bali! ☀️ Today we’re enjoying a peaceful morning walk along one of Bali’s most beautiful coastal promenades. The weather is absolutely perfect, with clear blue skies and bright sunshine from start to finish. It's the ideal morning for a relaxing stroll by the sea. Our walk begins at Matahari Terbit Beach, where a row of beachfront cafés and restaurants attracts younger travellers looking for affordable food and drinks. While the area is lively, we personally prefer the quieter side of Sanur, where the natural sounds of the ocean and birds create a much more relaxing atmosphere. From there, we continue south along the famous Sanur beachfront pathway to Sanur Beach. Because it’s a weekday morning, the beach is noticeably quieter than usual. Gentle waves roll onto the shore while birds sing in the background, creating a peaceful setting that perfectly captures the charm of Sanur. Along the way, we pass several visitors enjoying a morning stroll. Sanur has long been a favourite destination for mature travellers and retirees who appreciate its relaxed pace, calm beaches, and quieter atmosphere compared to some of Bali’s busier tourist areas. Our journey continues through Segara Beach, Sindhu Beach, and the increasingly popular ICON Bali Mall beachfront area. Throughout the walk, we spot plenty of cyclists enjoying the coastal pathway. If you're visiting Sanur, bicycle rentals are widely available around Segara and Sindhu Beach, making it easy to explore the coastline at your own pace. We then continue past some of Sanur's most iconic beachfront properties. While the main entrances of these hotels face Danau Tamblingan Street, their grounds stretch all the way to the beach.
