Development success is measured not only by the infrastructure built, but also by the healthy growth of children, prosperous families, and protected communities. Therefore, development in Central Papua must begin with the people, building generations, strengthening families, and ensuring that no one is left behind. This statement was made by the Governor of Central Papua, Meki Frits Nawipa, in his remarks before launching the Building an Inclusive and Resilient Generation and Family Program, or BANGKIT Papua Tengah, at the Ballroom of the Central Papua Governor's Office on Tuesday, July 21, 2026. According to him, the BANGKIT Papua Tengah Program, or Building an Inclusive and Resilient Generation and Family, represents the Central Papua Provincial Government's commitment to utilizing Special Autonomy Funds as a long-term investment to improve the quality of life of the community, particularly Indigenous Papuans. Meanwhile, the Head of the Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda) of Central Papua Province, who is also the Head of the Joint Secretariat for the Bangkit Papua Tengah Program, Eliezer Yogi, S.STP., M.Sc., in his report, stated that the purpose of this activity was to officially launch the Bangkit Papua Tengah program as an integrated development movement focused on improving the quality of life of the community, especially families and children of Indigenous Papuans (OAP) in eight regencies. On that occasion, the Governor also urged all regional officials to implement the Bangkit Papua Tengah program responsibly. This program should not be merely a document or ceremonial activity. Ensure accurate data collection, targeted assistance, streamlined services, and truly benefit the community. Also present at the event were heads of ministries and institutions, the Chairperson of the Central Papua House of Representatives (DPRD), the Chairperson of the Central Papua People's Consultative Assembly (MRP), the Deputy Governor of Central Papua, the Central Papua Regional Leadership Coordination Forum, the Regents and Deputy Regents of Central Papua Province; 7.
