GBO2 Gelgoog L: Too much for 400 cost!
This video contains three matches I had with the LV1 Gelgoog L on Gundam Battle Operation 2. It is a 400 cost general with incredible melee damage, a heat lance which can knock over enemies with regular swings, great mobility, great stuns, Maneuver Armor, Emergency Evasion alongside access to a lance charge skill which massively buffs boosting speed, decreases stagger accumulation received and allows you to ram into enemies for a stagger. I hope that you enjoy watching! Its primary weapon is a bazooka with 1500 power, 6 ammo, 6 seconds cooldown, 12 seconds reload, 1.5 seconds swap time, 300m range and 80% stagger value. This has relatively short cooldown for a bazooka. Each shot instant staggers. Its primary melee weapon is a heat lance with 2500 power, 3 seconds cooldown, 0.77 seconds swap time, 100% side swing modifier and 65%x3 downswing modifier. This cannot swing multiple times in a combo, but it has incredible reach and regular swings can knock enemies over. It shares the same melee animations and melee modifiers as the Gyan, making it easy to both deal high damage and poke enemies from afar with the full reach of the lance. Its first sub weapon is a machine gun with 110x5 power, 40 ammo, 0.3 seconds cooldown, 8 seconds reload, 0.77 seconds swap time, 200m range and 7%x5 stagger value. This doesn't stagger super quickly, but its a good option for when you need to stagger an enemy while your other stuns are cooling down. Its second sub weapon is an underbarrel grenade launcher with 1000 power, 1 ammo, 10 seconds reload, 0.77 seconds swap time, 250m range and 20% stagger value. This has low power and only 1 ammo, but it instantly staggers. Its third sub weapon is a hand grenade with 1100 power, 3 ammo, 2.5 seconds cooldown, 13 seconds reload, 1 second swap time, and 30% stagger value. This doesn't do much for the suit, the machine gun is a better option for finishing off low HP enemies. It also has a 4000 HP shield. The LV1 Gelgoog L has 16000 HP, 10 ballistic resist, 15 beam resist and 17 melee defence. It has decent durability when you include its shield, but nothing spectacular. It has a 10% damage reduction leg buffer, LV1 Maneuver Armor and LV1 Emergency Evasion for defensive skills. In terms of mobility it has 130 walking speed, 205 boosting speed, 65 thrust and 66 turning speed. It has pretty incredible mobility, even just looking at its base stats, it is as fast or faster than many 450 cost generals, let alone 400 cost ones. It has LV1 Forced Injector too. It also has a unique skill called LV1 Assault Stance. This skill activates if you boost forward for 1 second with your lance equipped. While activated, you deal 2000 damage to enemies you come into contact with, you stagger enemies you come into contact with, you gain 20 boosting speed and you take 20% less stagger accumulation. In conclusion, I feel that the Gelgoog L is a bit too much for this cost. It is much faster than the typical 400 cost general, while also having bonkers melee damage, great stuns alongside access to a borderline broken lance charge skill. I think it would have been fine if they released it as-is at 450 cost, just with 17500 HP rather than 16000, but since it is too late for that, they should just nerf it instead. I think that it should get 195 or 200 boosting speed alongside the lance charge skill only granting 10 extra boosting speed rather than 20. I think this would bring it closer to normality for 400 cost. It is currently available as a clan match reward, but it is probably gonna cycle over to a new suit soon, so get it while you can. Thanks for watching, and I hope that you enjoyed it! Music used: Flag to Flag, Power Dive Dynasty Warriors Gundam 2, A Good Thing is Possible
