GBO2 Susanowo: It's surprisingly well balanced!
This video contains two matches I had with the recently released LV1 Susanowo on Gundam Battle Operation 2. It is a 700 cost raid with excellent mobility, access to the powerful Trans-Am ability boost, incredible melee damage, anti-air capabilities alongside total ranged stagger/stun immunity from the front when swinging a melee weapon while Trans-Am is activated. It suffers from being squishy, from needing to take damage before being able to activate Trans-Am, alongside it having poor mid-range DPS. I hope that you enjoy watching! Its primary weapon is a beam chakram with 2800 (2000x2) power, 75% (45%x2) heat, 2 seconds cooldown, 15 seconds overheat, 0.5 seconds swap time, 3 seconds focus time, 25% (25%x2) stagger value and 300m (350m) range. This instantly stuns and can be fired while boosting. Charged shots heavy stagger mid-air enemies. Its primary melee weapon is a pair of swords with 2600 power, 2.5 seconds cooldown, 0.5 seconds swap time, 70%/49% (70%/49%/34%) combo modifier, 100%x2 neutral modifier and 120%x2 downswing modifier. This does incredible damage with neutral swings, letting you stack up incredible damage in two hit combos. It benefits from LV1 Aerial Melee, and ignores enemy buffer materials once Trans-Am mode activates. Furthermore, if attacking an enemy who is not already stunned, it deals 30% more damage. Its first sub weapon is a GN vulcan with with 100x2 (110x2) power, 40 ammo, 450 RPM, 10 (8) seconds reload, 0.5 seconds swap time, 225m range and 5%x2 (6%x2) stagger value. This doesn't have much ammo, but it can stagger quickly. Its second sub weapon is a tri-punisher with 4000 (4500) power, 100% heat, 15 (10) seconds overheat, 0.5 seconds swap time, 250m range, 1 (0.8) second focus time and 200% stagger value. This has short range, and must both stop to focus and fire. However, it instantly staggers, pierces through enemies, and has enough stagger value to shoot down nearly anything. If shooting an enemy that has more than 50% HP, it deals an extra 2000 damage guaranteed. While shooting, you are immune to instant staggers and take 30% less ranged damage and stagger accumulation. It's third sub weapon is a combined sword with 3400 (3500) power, 2 seconds cooldown, 0.5 seconds swap time, 1.5 (1) seconds focus time, 60%/36% (80%/64%/51%) combo modifier, 140% downswing modifier and 160%x2 (180%x2) heavy attack modifier. This has high power and short cooldown, alongside a heavy attack with relatively decent power. It benefits from LV1 Aerial Melee and LV1 Heavy Attack Kai. Furthermore, if attacking an enemy who is not already stunned, it deals 30% more damage. The LV1 Susanowo has 23000 HP, 20 ballistic resist, 24 beam resist and 34 melee resist. This is fairly poor durability, especially as it is not that small. It also has LV2 Emergency Evasion, LV4 Maneuver Armor and LV1 Offence System. In terms of mobility it has 140 (150) walk speed, 230 (245) boosting speed, 85 thrust and 84 (90) turning speed. It is quite fast by default, but becomes incredibly fast once Trans-Am is activated. It has LV4 Forced Injector, LV4 Flight Control and LV2 Flap Booster for mobility boosting skills. LV1 Trans-Am System (Pseudo Solar Reactor) can be activated for 70 seconds with the touchpad once the suit falls to 80% HP or below. It grants increased mobility, LV5 Maneuver Armor, 40% reduced thruster consumption, spots enemies within radar range, nullifies all ranged damage and stagger from the front while swinging melee, LV3 Emergency Evasion, +25 ranged modifier, +20 melee modifier, alongside 1.5 seconds of delay on the radar while boosting. Furthermore, while at half HP or less, it gains higher melee priority and ignores 10% of the target's resistances. It also has LV2 Power Accelerator. In conclusion, I feel that the Susanowo has ridiculously high potential, but has many obvious weaknesses compared to Barbatos in the previous meta. It has incredible damage, anti-air capabilities, incredible mobility and a very powerful Trans-Am power-up mode, but it is very easy for things to go wrong. It is very squishy, and is easily stopped by default if it tries to charge in with its LV4 Maneuver Armor. It is easier to get in once Trans-Am mode is activated, but since it requires you to lose HP to activate it, you will often end up killed in one combo before being able to use it, or at the very least, on the verge of destruction. Furthermore, it only really excels at staggering enemies that are flying in the air, it needs to rely on its low ammo vulcans to stagger most grounded enemies, which can be less than ideal if they have skills like Damage Control. I think it will be a difficult to use suit, theoretically able to wreak havoc, but only if a skilled player is using it. Thanks for watching!
