A Cooling Diversion on the Way to Finisterre

Filmed with an Apple XR camera; editing software was DaVinci Resolve Studio 20, version 20.3.2, build 9. Unfortunately some of the footage is a bit shaky on account of the rough steps in and out of the pool. This video was filmed May 27, 2024 while walking from Santiago de Compostela to Finisterre or Fisterra. While waiting to be registered at an albergue, I noticed some information about swimming in a natural pool formed at the base of a waterfall. Registration for my night's accommodation was taking a while given the volume of people needing to be processed. Being hot & impatient, I decided to find this river and cool off in it. After wondering if I had missed the path to the river as well as wandering off the path into a farmer's field, I finally found the pool. As there were stones in places, I found it necessary to wear a pair of shoes as I waded in the water. Yes, the water is cool but nevertheless refreshing in the heat of the day. My inspiration for this video arose out of an ongoing conversation with a pilgrim (Yongseok L) walking the Camino Frances during extremely hot weather in 2026.
