Blind Faith on the Camino

I created this video after meeting a blind and handless pilgrim, as well as the pilgrim assisting him, walking the Camino Francés (or French Way) in Spain May 31, June 1 & 2, 2025. I originally asked them to join me at table in a restaurant in order to get served quicker. It is easier for a waiter to serve a single table with 3 people rather than individual tables with single diners. After hearing the background story, I decided to make my individual clips and pictures into a cohesive story set over the 3 times I met and dined with them. I did not walk with them. I could not keep up with them despite Rafael's disability of blindness and lack of hands. I have my own disability to contend with. Whenever I feel slighted or hard done by life, given my own disability, I reflect on a man with disability that cannot be imagined. Both should be regarded as amazing given how much care Luigi has to tender to Rafael in order to fulfil Rafael's dream of walking the Camino. Buen Camino to both of you; I remember you well and I hope you remember me well. If I have any regrets, it is only that I wish I had filmed Rafael and Luigi more since I realized in hindsight, some shots should have been taken from different angles. Obviously, the question of Artificial Intelligence will come up. No, there has been no use of Photoshop or any LLM software to make these pilgrims other than what they are today. The video clips and pictures are reality; nothing has been altered. This video was created using video clips and pictures as filmed on an Apple XR. I have used DaVinci Resolve (Studio 20 version) to create and render this video. Editing assistance was provided by Gord K.
