Viparita Salabhasana (Full Locust Pose) Prep and Practice With Samrat Pasham
Viparita Salabhasana or Full Locust Pose is an Advanced Yoga Pose that incorporates a chinstand and both back flexibility as well as back strength. In this video I will show you some of the poses that I use in my practice to target opening of the heart, shoulders and back. I have also included some practices that I feel have helped me build strength into the back and prepared me for the peak pose. This pose is an intense asana and must be appoached with humility and respect for the process. Remember not to attempt to force your way through. Always check with the your breath. Viparita Salabhasana is interesting in that in order to achieve it, one must do two opposite actions in order for one to assume the pose and another to stay in it. Contraindications: Must not be attempted if one has blood pressure issues, spine/neck problems. Samrat Pasham is a yoga instructor based out of Hyderabad, India.
