Video of the finished marble: • Vortex Marble Handmade by Bill Grout 2.00"... In the core, a folding spiral of gold and silver fuming is accented with banners of sparkling dichroic. Spiral bands of lilac and dark cobalt for the backdrop. The back side is decorated with raked lines of tan and deep blue floating above the reflective gold fume base. Colors used in this build: Dichroic, Purple Lilac, Dark Cobalt, Silver Strike 5 and Blue Spruce. Learning and exploring new ideas for artistic handmade designs in glass is an ongoing journey. The hot glass heats up, glows orange, and is carefully manipulated to create a smooth, round form, highlighting the intricate skills involved in its making. It's truly amazing to see the creation of such a beautiful piece by hand by a skilled artist.
