Huayna Potosí Summit 🇧🇴 Climbing to 6,088m at Sunrise

Today is the summit day of Huayna Potosí in Bolivia, a 6,088m mountain in the Cordillera Real near La Paz. This is Day 3 of the climb and the final push from high camp to the summit. The climb starts at midnight so we can reach the summit around sunrise, before the snow conditions become more risky later in the morning. From high camp, we climb through the dark with crampons, ice axes, ropes, and headlamps, slowly gaining altitude as the oxygen gets thinner. This Huayna Potosí summit vlog follows the full climb from high camp to the 6,088m summit, including the difficulty of climbing at altitude, the breaks along the way, the final sunrise payoff, and the long descent back down the mountain. If you’re planning to climb Huayna Potosí from La Paz, or want to see what it’s like summiting a 6,000m mountain in Bolivia, this video shows the full summit day experience. 🌍 How I stay connected while travelling: I use Yesim (eSIM) to stay connected anywhere in the world without needing physical SIM cards.
