The Verses of Samantabhadra’s Vows 37–42 Samantabhadra-caryā-praṇidhāna Gāthā 37–42 普賢行願品 偈頌 37–42 보현행원품 게송 37–42 37. Puṇya-balena samanta-śubhena, jñāna-balena asaṅga-gatena, prajña-upāya-samādhi-balena, Bodhi-balaṁ samudānayamānaḥ. Through the power of merit, may all things be beautifully adorned. Through the power of wisdom, may I move without attachment. Through the power of prajñā, skillful means, and samādhi, may I gather the strength of awakening. 遍淨莊嚴勝福力， 無著無依智慧力， 定慧方便諸威力， 普能積集菩提力。 수승한 복덕의 힘으로 모든 것을 두루 청정하게 장엄하고, 집착 없는 지혜의 힘으로 어디에도 의지하지 않으며, 선정과 지혜와 방편의 모든 힘으로 깨달음의 힘을 두루 쌓아가기를 원합니다. 38. Karma-balaṁ pariśodhayamānaḥ, kleśa-balaṁ parimardayamānaḥ, Māra-balaṁ abalaṁ karamāṇaḥ, pūrayi bhadra-carī-bala sarvān. May I purify the power of karma, crush the power of defilements, render the power of Māra powerless, and fulfill all the powers of Samantabhadra’s noble conduct. 清淨一切善業力， 摧滅一切煩惱力， 降伏一切諸魔力， 圓滿普賢諸行力。 모든 선업의 힘을 청정하게 하고, 모든 번뇌의 힘을 꺾어 없애며, 모든 마의 힘을 항복받아, 보현보살의 모든 행의 힘을 원만히 이루기를 원합니다. 39. Kṣetra-samudra viśodhayamānaḥ, sattva-samudra vimocayamānaḥ, dharma-samudra vipaśyayamāno, jñāna-samudra vigāhayamānaḥ. May I purify oceans of Buddha-fields, liberate oceans of beings, clearly understand oceans of Dharma, and deeply enter oceans of wisdom. 普能嚴淨諸刹海， 解脫一切眾生海， 善能分別諸法海， 能甚深入智慧海。 모든 불국토의 바다를 두루 청정하게 장엄하고, 모든 중생의 바다를 해탈케 하며, 모든 법의 바다를 잘 분별하고, 지혜의 바다에 깊이 들어가기를 원합니다. 40. Carya-samudra viśodhayamānaḥ, praṇidhi-samudra prapūrayamāṇaḥ, Buddha-samudra prapūjayamānaḥ, kalpa-samudra careyam akhinnaḥ. May I purify oceans of conduct, fulfill oceans of vows, make offerings to oceans of Buddhas, and practice through oceans of kalpas without weariness. 普能清淨諸行海， 圓滿一切諸願海， 親近供養諸佛海， 修行無倦經劫海。 모든 수행의 바다를 두루 청정하게 하고, 모든 서원의 바다를 원만히 이루며, 모든 부처님의 바다를 가까이 모시고 공양하며, 겁의 바다를 지나도록 지치지 않고 수행하기를 원합니다. 41. Ye ca triyadhva-gatāna Jinānāṁ, Bodhi-cari-praṇidhāna-viśeṣāḥ, tān ahu pūraya sarvi aśeṣān, Bhadra-carīya vibudhyiya Bodhim. May I completely fulfill, without remainder, all the special vows for the conduct of awakening made by the Victorious Buddhas of the three times. Through Samantabhadra’s noble conduct, may I awaken to enlightenment. 三世一切諸如來， 最勝菩提諸行願， 我皆供養圓滿修， 以普賢行悟菩提。 과거·현재·미래의 모든 여래께서 세우신 가장 수승한 깨달음의 행원들을 저는 모두 공양하고 원만히 닦아, 보현보살의 행으로 깨달음을 이루기를 원합니다. 42. Jyeṣṭhaku yaḥ sutu sarva-Jinānāṁ, yasya ca nāma Samantatabhadraḥ, tasya vidusya sabhāga-cariṁ me, nāmayamī kuśalaṁ imu sarvam. The eldest son of all the Victorious Buddhas is known by the name Samantabhadra. May I practice in harmony with that wise one, and dedicate all this goodness completely. 一切如來有長子， 彼名號曰普賢尊， 我今回向諸善根， 願諸智行悉同彼。 모든 여래께는 으뜸가는 장자가 계시니, 그 이름은 거룩한 보현보살입니다. 제가 지금 닦은 모든 선근을 회향하오니, 저의 모든 지혜와 행이 그분과 같아지기를 원합니다.
