Transforming public transport system without using public funds | Ashutosh A T Pednekar | TEDxPanaji

Most cities in developing countries like India suffer from a bad public transport system. In this talk IAS officer, Ashutosh A T Pednekar, shares how, as the District Collector of Alwar, Rajasthan, he successfully transformed it's public transport system through a unique Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model, which did not spend any government or public funds. A firm believer in introducing innovation in the bureaucracy to serve people, Ashutosh A T Pednekar, an IAS Officer has created impact through his novel initiatives that have helped solve many problems faced by the public. Currently serving as Secretary and Commissioner – Panchayati Raj, Relief and Civil Defence – Government of Rajasthan, India, his model projects are considered worthy of being replicated elsewhere in the country.
