10 Tips when Treating Extraction Cases
Tips for extraction cases: 1- Use en masse retraction in well aligned cases 2- Delay extraction just before putting the working wire and starting retraction 3- Extract lower second premolars rather than first premolars 4- Bond the upper first premolar gingivally 5- No need to bong the lower second premolar 6- Bond the second molars except in extraction cases 7- Use passive self ligating bracket on the upper second premolar 8- Invert the upper MBT canine bracket (torque +7) 9- Use MBT upper incisor brackets (higher torque than Roth brackets) 10- Invert the lower MBT incisor brackets (torque +6) Bonus: Use figure 8 ligation in non-crowded areas to limit migration of the wire
