Hotel Review - A New Low at the Hyatt House Charlotte Airport

I booked this Hyatt House with points and didn't vet it as closely as I normally would. You'd think the Hyatt brand and a 4 star average in Google reviews would be pretty safe. As it turns out, the most recent reviews were in a free-fall for very valid reasons. I had a lot of fun combing through this mess of a room. It's been a while since I've seen anything quite so bad. While putting together this video, I went to look up some additional info on the property and discovered that this is no longer a Hyatt House. It looks like they lost their franchise within a week of our stay (this was recorded on April 12th). It's now listed as "CLT Sky Suite", so I assume they're either going to operate as an independent or use this name as a placeholder while they convert to a new flag. I wouldn't be surprised to see this pop back up as a Hawthorne or Mainstay Suites in the near future. Or who knows, maybe it will sell and get renovated into something nicer. It will be fun to follow in the coming months. You may have noticed that Dan made an appearance at the end of this video.
