Hotel Review - A Tired Room at the Hyatt Regency Downtown Toronto

When my travels took me to downtown Toronto last year, I ended up staying at the Hyatt Regency. The location is fantastic as its just blocks away from the CN tower, walking distance to many other attractions, and perfect for hopping on transit to get around. The hotel, in a word, was fine. The property was built in 1990 as a Holiday Inn, and was then heavily renovated in 2009 when it was converted into a Hyatt Regency. I don't think the current owners have really touched it in the 16 years since. The decor is getting a bit dated and worn out. Housekeeping also missed a few silly things in my room. The staff here was notably friendly and professional. It's overall serviceable, but I can't say I'd highly recommend it over the many other options in Toronto... at least, not until they renovate the property again. http://www.theelevatorchannel.net
