Hi I'm Mel Moss and Welcome to We Dreamed of Spain. I along with my husband Dave, our three children and our Mini Lassie Merry moved to Spain two years ago to chase a dream I've had my entire life which is to live in Spain. Over the past two years we have lived in several towns and cities, rented an apartment here in Malaga, made friends, bought a car and built a life that we love. There have been extreme highs and deep deep lows and we wouldn't change any of it. I am Spanish deep into my soul. Its not enough for me to live it, I feel a strong desire to share the real Spain with the world. In today’s video, I’m taking you with me to Almogia, 350 metres above sea level in the mountains of Malaga. A town with a history and cultural link to the love of cultivating and celebrating almonds. We will cook together and create one of Andalusia's most beloved comfort dishes: Albondigas con Salsa Almendras (meatballs in almond sauce).
