#115 - Ankommen dürfen satt loslassen müssen. Bedürfnisorientiert eingewöhnen beim LAG Hessen
In this episode, I'll take you on a journey into one of my absolute passions: needs-based settling-in, or arrival, in daycare, nursery, and childminding settings. I'll be sharing a live recording of my presentation at the LAG Freie Kita-Träger Hessen e.V. (Hesse Association of Independent Daycare Providers) about my book: "Allowed to Arrive Instead of Having to Let Go – Needs-Based Settling-In in Daycare, Nursery, and Childminding Settings." Together, we'll explore: • how transitions truly feel for children and parents, • what needs-based pedagogy (BoP) means, • why feelings, needs, boundaries, and our personal history are key factors in the settling-in process, • and how we can cultivate a welcoming culture in daycare centers where children are allowed to arrive instead of having to "let go." At the end, I'll tell you a bit about our new BO Academy program for needs-based pedagogy for 2026 and the training and in-house workshops we offer for teams. *This episode/lecture is about* From my/our perspective, this episode is about: 🧠 What does needs-based pedagogy really mean? and why it's more than "just" being nice to children. 🌊 A mental journey to Tokyo how transitions, sensory overload, being alone, and reconnecting with one's body can feel – and what this has to do with settling in. 💛 The four pillars of BoP feelings, needs, boundaries, and self-esteem (biographical self-reflection) as the basis for mindful interaction. ❄️ The iceberg model & deep-sea diving: why we need to look beneath the surface of behavior instead of just saying, "Stop hitting." 🗣️ The "yes" mantra & the magic of words how we can use language to reflect feelings, make needs visible, and calm systems. 👨👩👧 Arrival as Relationship Time Instead of an "Adjustment Program" Moving away from rigid models towards a more nuanced understanding of signals from children and parents. 🧩 Success Factors for a Needs-Oriented Arrival Time: From security and participation to setbacks and staff well-being. 🧭 Comparison of Adjustment Models: Berlin, Munich, Tübingen, Participatory Adjustment & Needs-Oriented Relationship Time. 🧯 What Often Gets in Our Way in Everyday Life: Staff shortages, our own beliefs, old traumas, and the pressure to "function." ✨ *Contact me:* **Email**: [email protected] **Website**: https://lea.wedewardt.de/ *Academy**: www.bo-akademie.de **Email:* [email protected] **BO Academy Webinars**: https://elopage.com/s/bo-akademie **BO Academy Programs**: https://www.bo-paedagogik.de/bop-prog... **Instagram**: [@derkitapodcast]( / derkitapodcast ) *BO Program:* https://www.bo-paedagogik.de/bop-prog... 👉 *Information about the Pädiko Academy* Free [Continuing Education Planner](https://paediko-akademie.de/pages/wei...)
