Mutual Aid Fire Response: 621 Main Street - Structure Fire - Harlan, KY! #svfd #firefighter #firedepartment On Tuesday April 22, Sunshine Volunteer Fire Department was requested by Harlan City Fire Department for assistance on a structure fire at 621 South Main Street. Harlan FD had received the call at 15:33 and responded with Engine Four and Truck One arriving on scene at 15:35. While Harlan firefighters were on their initial fire attack one firefighter fell and injured his shoulder. That firefighter was transported by Lifeguard Ambulance Service to Harlan ER where he was treated and released. Sunshine Volunteer Fire Department responded with Engine Three, Tanker One, and Tanker Two and several members for manpower and assisted with fire attack. Both departments working together extinguished the fire containing it to the initial structure with no exposure. Also responding was Harlan City Police Department, Kentucky Utilities Power, and the Harlan City Street Department.
